The work of Karel Martens is both personal and experimental. Known for decades as a prolific book designer, he later worked on other design projects: postage stamps, coins, architectural signage, and exhibitions. His latest work is more autonomous — experiments with colours, patterns and materials — exploring geometric and kinetic constructions. This is the four edition of the book originally published in 1996.
The book is designed by Jaap van Triest with Karel Martens.
